What is Penetran?
Penetran is a pain relieving ointment produced by Transdermal Technologies -- an innovator in transdermal delivery of drugs. This company has unlocked the secret of deadening your pain with the effectiveness of hospital strength lidocaine, but without the discomfort of a needle.

How does Penetran work?
A patented transdermal delivery system causes lidocaine-like compounds known as "quaternary amines" to penetrate your skin and neutralize pain at it's origin. How is Penetran different from other "arthritis rubs"?

How much do I use and how do I apply it?
Gently apply and coat the skin surface with Penetran around your area of pain. Make sure you apply this pain-neutralizing rub to an area wider than your affected area of pain. Wait for about 10 seconds to give Penetran a chance to penetrate deep. Then rub the area gently until the gel disappears. You should feel the pain almost immediately decrease. Most people feel significant relief in 5 to 20 minutes.
How often can I use it?
For most types of pain, once or twice a day is sufficient. You can use Penetran up to 4 times a day. If you feel the need to reapply Penetran, wait at least 3 or 4 hours for re-application. Some people tell me that Penetran works better when applied immediately after a hot shower. You may want to give this technique a try.
Does Penetran have an odor or will it stain my clothing?
Absolutely not! Since Penetran contains no methylsalicylate or menthol, it does not have an overpowering odor like other arthritis rubs. You don't have to worry about your spouse kicking you out of bed at night because you smell like a wintergreen candy factory. No one will ever know you are using Penetran. It produces very little odor.
